1. The operator of this website (the controller)

This policy is written to align with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA, 개인정보보호법) of the Republic of Korea. Where a section refers to a specific PIPA principle, it is noted in parentheses.

2. What we actually run on this site

This is a short, accurate statement of what the site does and does not do:

• No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads tags, conversion pixels, or any other analytics or advertising measurement on this site.
• No third-party tracking. The site makes no requests to third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services at any time, before or after consent.
• Self-hosted fonts and scripts. Fonts and the small amount of JavaScript used for the consent banner and the inquiry form are served from this site's own assets, not from a CDN.
• Same-domain form handling. The inquiry form posts to /api/inquiry on this same domain. The data is received only by our office to respond to your inquiry.
• One locally stored preference. Your cookie consent choice is stored in your own browser, under the key slfp_consent_v1. We do not read it on a server; it exists only to stop showing you the banner.

3. Items of personal information we process (PIPA Art. 15)

We process only the personal information you choose to send us, plus the minimum needed to operate the site:

We do not collect sensitive personal information (PIPA Art. 23), and we do not collect information about children. The site is not directed at anyone under 18.

4. Purposes of collection and use (PIPA Art. 15 §1)

• To respond to your inquiry and arrange the first consultation.
• To prepare for the first consultation based on the situation you describe.
• To keep a record of the inquiry in case of a later dispute about what was discussed.

We do not use your personal information for marketing, profiling, or sending promotional messages. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.

5. Retention and use periods (PIPA Art. 21)

If you become a paying client, a separate engagement agreement governs the records created during the engagement, and the retention periods in that agreement apply to those records.

6. Your rights as a data subject (PIIPA Arts. 35–38)

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, except where retention is required by law.
• Withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place before it.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@siliconlayer.digital with the subject line "Personal information request". We reply within the period set by PIPA.

6-1. Right to refuse consent

Submitting the inquiry form is voluntary. If you do not fill it in, we simply have no inquiry from you and no information is collected. You can also reach us by phone or email directly, without using the form.

7. How the data is stored and secured

Inquiry form submissions are received by our office through the same-domain handler at /api/inquiry. Access to the stored inquiries is limited to the representative and the staff who respond to inquiries. We do not transmit inquiry data outside the Republic of Korea for processing.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change what the site does or what we process, we will update this page and note the date at the bottom. The current version reflects how the site behaves today.
