Terms of service

Terms

These terms cover use of this website and the planning engagements described on it. They are written for clients and visitors in the Republic of Korea.

1. The operator

2. What this site is

This website is the marketing site and inquiry channel for a financial planning practice in Seoul. It describes the planning engagements we offer to freelancers and self-employed individuals. It does not sell physical goods, software, or investment products.

3. The service we provide

The service is financial planning advice only. We model your cash-flow, set buffers and reserves, and hand you a spreadsheet you can run yourself. We do not:

  • Pick investments, recommend securities, or manage a portfolio.
  • Sell insurance products, or take commission from any provider.
  • Prepare or file tax returns; we refer you to a licensed tax accountant for filing.
  • Arrange anything that avoids or bends Korean tax law.

We are a planning service, not a licensed investment adviser or a tax accountant. Where your situation needs one of those, we say so and refer you on.

4. Engagements, scope and fees

Every engagement starts with a no-charge first consultation. After it, we send a one-page written scope naming the service shape, the deliverable, the number of sessions and the fee. No work starts until you sign off on the scope. Fees are quoted in writing and are payable in KRW. The fee covers the work in the scope; it is not an open-ended hourly arrangement.

Specific package terms, fees and credentials are confirmed in the written scope for each engagement. Nothing on this site is a confirmed price or a confirmed package term until it is in that signed scope.

5. Your responsibilities

The plan is only as good as the numbers behind it. You agree to provide accurate invoice records, recurring costs and tax-cycle information when we ask for them. We work from statements and totals; we do not ask for and you should not send account passwords or full account numbers.

6. Use of this website

You may read and use this site for the purpose of deciding whether to contact us. You may not scrape, copy, or republish the content, or use the inquiry form to send anything unlawful, abusive, or that attempts to compromise the form handler. We may block inquiries that appear automated or abusive without notice.

7. No warranties on outcomes

Financial planning describes a sensible structure for your cash-flow; it does not guarantee a specific income, return, or result. Market conditions, client behaviour and tax law change, and the plan needs to change with them. We do not warrant any specific outcome from following the plan.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Korean law, our liability for any single engagement is limited to the fee you paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from decisions you make based on the plan, including investment, tax, or business decisions made without separate advice from a licensed professional.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any engagement under them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute is brought before the competent court for the Seoul jurisdiction, unless a different venue is required by mandatory law.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update this page and note the date at the bottom. The version in force at the time you start an engagement applies to that engagement.
